Crafts Council Means of Production

Led by Modus Operandi and funded by Arts Council London, Means of Production focused on expanding the practice of four young artists and designers through innovative research. Facilitating access to materials, technology, knowledge and expertise previously unavailable to them, Means of Production enabled these artists and designers to develop new approaches to their practice.  The resulting projects encompassed a broad range of disciplines and research environments including commerce, education, science and health, opening up new territories for the practitioners to explore.

The Means of Production participants were selected through an open competition, overseen by a panel including representatives from the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
