Portman Square

Tribeca Development appointed Modus Operandi to advise on a public art commission for 40 Portman Square, London.  Following an invited competition, John Carter won the commission with a proposal for a stone relief attached to the façade of the building.  By selecting the same material as the building, the Portland Stone relief appears to be integrated within the building's façade, yet retains an independence reinforced by its skewed form.
