As part of the ‘Artists on Site’ strand of the BBC Public Art Programme, Nick Danziger was invited to document the process of Broadcasting House’s transformation.  Danziger's approach charted the working processes and broadcasting 'life' of many BBC departments, capturing behind the scenes footage of programmes such as Radio 1's DJ sessions, Radio 4's Today programme, Panorama and Outlook.

The resulting images range from everyday activity on the building site to remarkable one-off events such as the Hutton Report, and the installation of Rachel Whiteread’s sculpture cast from Room 101.

Danziger also followed the World Service staff in Bush House, recording the many different nationalities and language services based there.  The team involved in the redevelopment, including BBC staff, architects, contractors, consultants and artists was also documented.

Radio with Pictures is part of the BBC Broadcasting House Public Art Programme, curated by Modus Operandi.
